With Spring just around the corner I thought this would be a good time to re-vamp an old jacket I found in the back of my closet. Its a 100% cotton Gap jacket that I know will last forever, the only problem is that it is way too basic for my taste.
Here’s how I turned it into a special piece I can’t wait to wear:
Step One: Add Sparkle
I cut these right off of an old shirt I had laying around
I hand sewed them onto the jacket in a way that accented it well
Step Two: Add a Ruffle
I cut this cute accent right off of an old shirt and sewed it onto the bottom of the jacket.
Step Three: Rock your Fab new Jacket
I’m wearing mine with a Lucky Brand T-Shirt and a pair of 7 For All Mankind jeans
By following these easy steps you could have a brand new jacket that’s unique and one-of-a-kind just like you!
XoXo,
Sara
This is so impressive that you were able to revamp a jacket using things you already have, and it does not at all look like it was a DIY! I will have to keep this in mind for the future, I love the idea of sewing on those pieces from another old shirt.
Great post!
